Today's blessings were people

Bruce tossed and turned and prayed last night.  He was worried. He desperately needed help.  We had rented a little bobcat for today to dig a trench for the temporary hydro line. They delivered the bobcat early.

So, yesterday afternoon he decided to try it out.  It wasn't as easy as it looked.  There are people who are just plain gifted at working with machinery.  Bruce decided he wasn't one of them.

The electrician was expecting the trench to be dug while he was setting up the box and laying the pipe.  That meant more pressure.

We were both praying in desperation.

At 8:30 we headed out to the land.  We hadn't gotten very far when we received a phone call. Our son-in-law, Noe, who works evenings and usually needs to sleep in the mornings, was wondering if we needed help with the bobcat.

Noe is one of those people who truly is gifted with machinery.  He was our answer to prayer, and a real blessing.

Then there was Jeff.

A friend is not always someone you have known for years. We met Jeff  and Sheila last year after hearing about a church community garden.  Jeff was the powerhouse behind it.  A sheep man with a love for the land, Jeff was doing all he could to help others get back to the land.

He was the one who directed us to our piece of property; he plowed my garden for me; and today he was there helping us prepare for the arrival of our two sheep.

It is his electric fencing that now surrounds a paddock next to the sheep shed.  He showed us what to do, and he set up the fence.  He is bringing a round bail of hay for the sheep.

Jeff and Sheila are encouragers who add actions to their words.  They are rare in this self centered world.  How were we so blessed to have them for our friends?

Two huge blessing in one day. God led them to us today because He cares, and He has Children who care just like their Heavenly Father.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, and thank you, Noe and Jeff.
